The Prologue is Thule’s most affordable fork mount rooftop bike carrier. It’s got the basics covered with features like its easy to use stainless-steel skewer, with an oversized lever that makes loading and unloading your bike both secure and easy at the same time. The single-wall aluminum wheel tray accommodates tire sizes right on up to 2.6” wide and wheelbases of up to 48”. The high-strength nylon composite head on the Prologue is built to last, and the design of the skewer allows you to secure most forks with a 9mm dropout, regardless of the disc brake set-up. The 516 Prologue fits both square and round load bars right out of the box, and with the Thule Ride-On Adaptor, it can be installed on factory crossbars as well. For added security, you can add a One-Key lock cylinder, sold separately, to lock both your bike to the carrier and the carrier to the rack as well.
