| The Thule 4002XT Footpack Halfpack is for use with most vehicles that do not have raingutters or a factory installed roof rack. Most sedans and truck cabs use the Thule 4002XT.
Why would you want to use a Thule 4002XT Halfpack?
We most often install the Thule 4002XT Halfpack for customers who have a pick-up truck with an open bed, or a cap. The rear load bar is often supported by one of several methods like the hitch-mounted Thule 997 Goalpost, or the Yakima Outdoorsman 300. The Thule 4002XT Halfpack is then used to support the front loadbar on the truck cab.
As part of a Thule multipurpose rack system the Thule 4002XT will allow you to put load bars from 50 to 96 inches on top of your vehicle and carry a variety of accessories to get your stuff from here to there. The installation of the Thule 4002XT requires the use of a Thule Fit Kit that is specific to your vehicle.
